STAFF POLICIES Educators and staff responds to adverts placed in the media. An average of three meetings are held to make sure the right person is selected for the right job with the right qualifications. (Certified copies of original qualifications to be submitted on application). A board comprising of the H.O.D., the head of the institution, and a member from the academic board assist in the interviews , selection and recruitment process. Once an educator is selected, he/she is brought into the institute s staff development programme. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY TO MAKE SURE: Workshops, classroom, laboratories to be free from any danger and complies with regulations. HIV/AIDS POLICY AND PROGRAMMES
Aids/HIV awareness functions held where drama, music and poems are recited. The institute has an AIDS committee to plan and guide awareness programs. Visiting AIDS/HIV homes and provides assistance. THE INSTITION’S STUDENT AND STAFF WELLNESS PROGRAMME Learners and staff can take advantage of the following: A range of books, magazines, a data base of state organisations and NGO’s that assist people on illness such as HIV/AIDS, sexual health, personal counselling and equal rights for all. The college help desk offers a range of services including group sessions, support services ,teenage pregnancy , drug abuse are just some of the areas learners can get help at the institute. Special assistance is available in the following: Information is freely distributed sti’s sexuality, HIV/AIDS, sexual health and healthy life style.
