Study  in Degree Streams - The National Diploma which is a  NQF  Level  5 qualification leads to the B.Tech Degree that is a  NQF Level 6 qualification.

Course Identification and Recognition: As part of the: B.COM Degree / B.Tech Degree on the NQF Level 6 this course falls under the HET BAND - HIGHER EDUCATION and TRAINING.on the NQF/NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK.  This Diploma is offered at the Post Matric Level and the entry requirement is a Matric or N3/NSC or Std 10/Gr 12. Rated by the HUMAN SCIENCE RESEARCH COUNCIL (HSRC) as a (M+3) Matric + 3 years of study, students are placed in the final year of the following:

B.TECH DEGREE  at a University of Technology or Technikon Nationwide    or
B.COM DEGREE  at any University Nationwide

The Diploma in Human Resources Management is designed for personnel who wants to be or are already involved in the training function in the industry commerce and government who wish to gain formally recognized qualifications in staff training. Using workplace projects, the course builds to knowledge and skills required to design, deliver, administer and evaluate effective training in the workplace. It also challenges and extends the trainers current competencies and perceptions of the training function to allow human resources managers to better understand their roles and meet the rapidly changing training and staff development demands.  The Diploma in Human Resources Management requires the student to demonstrate mastery of and on-the-job competency in the knowledge and skills needed to successfully design, promote, implement and evaluate programs of workplace training.

This major is designed principally for students who wants to pursue a career as a human resources manager or employment relations specialist.
The modules cover all aspects of human resources /employment relations practice ,enabling the student to obtain a broad understanding of all the major areas of specialization within the human resources/employment relations discipline.
