LIBRARY
The location of our training institute is the best as it enjoys a number of libraries situated around it. A vast range of businesses in the clothing ,fashion ,home and furniture, hair  and beauty cosmetic chains, tourism and airline chains, hospitality, catering and food chains surround the college , industries, office blocks, we are in the hub of shops and shopping malls  that is modern ,up market and technology driven. Students can make use of these libraries and other facilities provided by the Durban Municipality.

Letters of recommendations, testimonial, results, opening of banking and shopping accounts.

EXTRA SUPPORT SERVICES
Besides having their own text books, students are given lecture back up notes where required. Extra tulurial, extra lessons for slow learners. Extra computer lessons educational excursions, speakers from industry, visiting lecturers from industry to give insight into the subject.

EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING: LEARNING TO SERVE SERVING TO LEARN
First Choice Varsity College is very successful in the implementing of a service learning programme. Students are linked to various community projects in collaboration with over 500 Universities, Colleges and schools. A concept brought from America, the Council of Independent Colleges. Washington DC. USA.

ASSESSMENT OF LEARNERS 
Students are assessed each term through class tests, assignments, case studies, fieldwork projects, and portfolios. Teachers and lecturers record all marks, attendance registers and other important records of the student.

GRADUATION DAY IS A BIG DAY
This is the day every student and parents / guardian waits for. A colorful, glittering event that show case various talents, activities and achievements by the various faculties.

OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES

SPORT AND RECREATION
It is our aim to enhance community life through education training sports and play from time to time we invite professional teams to meet and coach our students, organize attractive games with reputable teams. We encourage our students to take part in all socio-economic empowerment projects.

ART AND CULTURE   
To make your study year a year to remember we encourage you to participate in various arts and culture  programmes. Each year our students participate in the year of the writer competition organized by the Department of Arts and Culture – The University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Activities include Visual Arts, music, dance etc. Speech and public speaking contests, reading, writing and organizing Arts and Culture festivals.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
1. Visit our campus and find out if we offer the course you want to start.
2. Once you have decided on the course, request for the revelent forms to be filled
by you and your parents / guardian.
3. Do not leave out any information requested on the forms fill up everything as this
will speed up your registration process. If you don’t understand a question please
seek help.
4. You will have to make sure you do have someone to pay your fees.

STUDENTS WITH A BURSARY
If you have obtained a bursary
Proof on a letterhead of the bursar company with details as to when the bursary will be allocated has to be submitted on registration.

Requirement on the day of Registration
2 times ID Photos B/W or color certified copy of ID information  page of yourself and also the person responsible for fees. Fully completed and signed enrolment forms. Last Report / Testimonial or Result sheet.

NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE OF R280-  $45 -- TO ACCOMPANY EACH APPLICATION.
Registration form to be completed and signed by parent / guardian if the student is under 21 years.

ADMISSIONS
In its aim to build better communities for the benefit of all South Africans First Choice Varsity College  has made it possible to give everyone a chance to make a better life for them selves and their immediate families.

For this reason courses offered  are grouped as:

1. Courses for students with a Matriculation with or without exemption in the HIGHER
EDUCATION BAND.
2. Courses for NIC and NSC for non marticulants in the FET BAND
3. Courses that fall under N1 to N6.
4. The National N Diploma courses.
5. Every learner is assessed separately and is requested to start at the appropriate
SAQA NQF level.
